For the past month I have been reading Slave: The Hidden Truth About Your Identity in Christ
by John MacArthur.
I rate this book a 4.5 out of 5.

I enjoyed reading this book. In fact, I read some parts more than once. In this book MacArthur attempts to uncover the reasons for errors in English translations of the Bible. In doing so he establishes new information and questions English speaking Christians' understanding of following Christ. The question," Are we servants of Christ or slaves?," is discussed at length.
I really love the way this book was formatted. It was a lot like reading a research paper. I loved looking into the footnotes linked to MacArthur's arguments. This book was a very good learning tool and I recommend it to Christians and non-Christians alike.
This is one of the first books on Christianity that I have read and enjoyed. Often, I am so frustrated and lost while reading books on Christianity because the information given is not very well supported. I believe that MacArther does a great job of being clear and concise.
I learned a lot from this book and I was able to look at the information and create my own opinions. This book does seem like and introduction to the translation error MacArthur is writing about. I would love to read more books on this subject.
I received a copy of this book to help facilitate this review. I was not financially compensated. All opinions are my own.
